Covid-19 pandemic is taking its effect on the world, it’s hitting the smartphone industry really hard. Smartphone sales drop is on rapid high mode.
Smartphone end-user sales drop randomly by 39% last month and shipments declined by 38% YoY according to the analytics.
The Covid-19 outbreak in China this February in full swing mode which disrupted the smartphone supply chain and it depressed the demands of the consumer.
Samsung remained at the top of the mobile industry in both sales and shipments. All the other brands like Apple, Xiaomi, Huawei, Vivo, and oppo remained behind.
Its also interesting news here that Xiami passed Huawei in overall sales and shipments during this crisis according to strategy analytics.
It may be that Xiaomi released its latest phone Xiaomi mi 10 this February during a crisis.
Because of the current, US trade ban Huawei is also getting the short end of the stick.
The company has already been losing momentum and expect more sales to drop in the coming days.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the end of the industry and sales drop, this may continue for some time due to this pandemic and until everything goes normal.
