pay the revenue of the Provincial and Central Government from all wallets

Now, you can pay the revenue of the Provincial and Central government using all wallets available in Nepal. The Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General has made this arrangement so that the revenue collection of the Provincial and central Government becomes simple, economical, transparent and effective, and the risks are also reduced.

The Accountant General has recently issued a directive with the approval of the Government of Nepal to include electronic payment service providers in the revenue management information system. Therefore, with the issue of the directive, you can now pay the governmental revenue with the use of all types of the digital payment system.

Previously, only the channels affiliated to Connect IPS under Nepal Clearing House could be used to pay the revenue of the provincial and central government. However, you can now use other digital payment methods like mobile banking, internet banking, digital wallets, National and international payment cards (debit & credit card), and inter-bank payments to pay the revenue of the provincial and central government.

How to pay the revenue of the Provincial and Central Government using wallets?

To pay the revenue of the Provincial and Central Government using wallets, you first need to go to the portal for Government tax payment and then create a revenue voucher on the portal.

The revenue voucher information generated in this way should be made available to the electronic payment service provider selected from the revenue management information system. It will contain the name of the revenue earning office, office code, EBP number, name of the person or body paying the revenue, amount, bank and account number where the revenue is collected.

Based on the information received for payment of revenue from the revenue payment electronic portal, the payment service provider or payment service operator has to send the information related to payment through electronic means to the bank collecting revenue for payment.

The guideline for the payment states that money cannot be sent directly to the revenue account without completing such process mentioned above.
