Apple Addresses iPhone 15 Overheating: iOS 17.1 to Rescue the Burning Frustration

There are concerns about the iPhone 15 overheating, and Apple has acknowledged these reports, especially with the iPhone 15 and 15 Pro models. The tech giant attributes the thermal issues not to hardware design but rather to bugs within the iOS 17 operating system and specific third-party applications like Instagram, Uber, and Asphalt 9. Addressing these concerns, Instagram swiftly released an update (version 302) on September 27th to mitigate some of the problems.

Apple asserts that the iPhone 15 overheating incidents pose no safety risk, citing contributing factors such as the use of USB-C power adapters exceeding 20W and background processing post-phone restoration. To rectify these issues without compromising performance, the company assures users that the forthcoming iOS 17.1 update will be the solution.

Apple’s response counters previous concerns made by industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who implied performance limits. The company remains dedicated to its determination to resolve these heating problems without impacting the overall customer experience.

Beyond these challenges, Apple underscores the groundbreaking features of the iPhone 15, including the utilization of the new A17 Pro chip, manufactured through TSMC’s 3nm process. This cutting-edge chip, featuring a six-core GPU, is marketed for its ability to deliver high-performance graphics, particularly beneficial for graphics-intensive applications such as Resident Evil Village.

The iPhone 15 has a strong and good-looking frame made partly from titanium, which makes it tough and stylish. Although some people say it gets too hot, Apple is confident that the iOS 17.1 update will fix iPhone 15 overheating so users can make the most of the cool features of the iPhone 15.
