The online payment service for electricity and drinking water has been shut down for two days on Wednesday and Thursday. It will not be possible to pay such bills online using e-services, pocket wallets, mobile wallets, and various banks.
The service has been closed for two days on Wednesday and Thursday due to the end of the fiscal year 2076/77. The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has shut down the service for one day today and the Nepal Water Supply Corporation (NWSC) for two days on Wednesday and Thursday.
During mid-July, government offices have been shutting down the online system in the same way as in previous years. This is the most stressful time to pay the fees. Closing the online service at such a time is sure to have the biggest impact on the service recipients.
