Facebook rolls out the shop. Small business can now easily start a shop to sell things directly with the Facebook shop

Facebook announced the starting of the shop in its platform, Instagram, and Facebook itself. i.e Facebook shop.CEO of Facebook on his Facebook writes that the main focus is for small businesses that can start their online shop on Facebook.

While Facebook Shops is being rolled out from Today i.e Wednesday, the company will introduce Instagram Shop this summer.

“Creating a Facebook Shop is free and simple. Businesses can choose the products they want to feature from their catalog and then customize the look and feel of their shop with a cover image and accent colors that showcase their brand,” Facebook said in a statement late Tuesday.

As we all know due to this COVID-19 outbreak many companies had moved online and they are facing difficulties to cope up with economic consequences.

Its really hard especially for small businesses or startup companies who just had started.

These small businesses are really important for Facebook. According to Mark Zuckerberg, the majority of Facebook advertisers are small businesses which had makes their biggest part of the revenue.

So, its no wonder why Facebook has brought this to help small businesses during this COVID-19 storm.

Facebook shops are very easy to create, design, and highly customizable. Businesses can choose the products to feature from their catalog and then customize the look and feel of their shop with a cover image and accent colors that showcase their brand. 

For example, if you own a clothing store for both men and women, you will able to customize the storefront to show products like men’s t-shirt or women’s jeans that are most relevant to the visitor.

Facebook is also working with partners like Shopify, CedCommerce, Cafe24, Tienda Nube, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, ChannelAdvisor, and Feedonomics to support small businesses.
