Are you irritated by these political ads? Then don’t worry because now Facebook lets you turn off the ads related to politics. This feature is available for both app & site.
This feature was announced earlier this year and was available to all Facebook and Instagram users in June. By using these features the paid political campaigns can be turned off.
How to turn off Political Ads ?
Steps to turn off Political Ads in Facebook:
- Open your Facebook account in your device
- Go to Settings & Privacy section
- Then go to settings
- Tap in Ads then ad preference
- Select Ad topics then social issues, election, politics
- Tap see fewer ads about the topic
- All done!
Alternative method:
If you see a political ad in your feed then at the top right of that ad post find ‘confirm organization’ then tap it. A pop-up will be shown where select see fewer ads about this topic option. After that click confirm.

- Open your Instagram account in your device
- Then select ad topics
- Select see fewer ads about a social issue, election, and politics
- All done!
Alternative method:
If you see any ad in your Insta feed tap where the post has ‘Paid for by ‘ and then select ‘see fewer ads like this’.
