eSewa, Nepal’s first mobile wallet has been providing its services since 2009. It has been licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank as a Payment Service Provider. eSewa allows us to do money transactions (send and receive money) into eSewa wallet through mobile banking, internet banking, and counter deposit at different banks. eSewa aims to simplify payments and expand financial inclusion for Nepalese people. It is promoting digital payments. They have their own application which has made the digital payment even more convenient.

How to change the MPIN of eSewa?

Do you want to change the MPIN of your eSewa id? Or, have you forgotten the MPIN of your id? Here are the quick easy steps to change the MPIN of eSewa.

  1. On the login page, click on “Forgot MPIN?”.
  2. Then, insert your esewa id to verify it.
  3. You will receive a six-digit verification code in your esewa id. Enter the code and tap on proceed.
  4. Now, you will be able to create a new MPIN. Create your 4-digit MPIN and tap on done.

Transaction limit per day

The Nepal Rastra Bank Payment System Directive (in regards to the transaction limit from electronic channels) updated the transaction limits for various types of transactions. These transaction limits were updated on 2nd September 2020.

How to reset the password?

Did you forgot your eSewa password? No need to worry. We are at your rescue. Resetting the eSewa password is super easy. Follow the instructions below to reset your password.

  1. Go to the official website of eSewa.
  2. On the top-right, you will see the login bar. Click on “Forgot Password?” which is above the password -bar.
  3. Then, enter your eSewa id. Click on I’m not a robot and verify.
  4. Enter the six-digit code which you will receive on your eSewa id.
  5. Type your new password and confirm it then, reset the password. Remember that the password must be 8 characters long.
  6. After you click on “Reset password”, a pop-up will appear saying “Password has been successfully changed.”
