Miss Universe Nepal 2020 is all set to begin. MUN has launched its mobile application and has started the registration of the pageant. Brave, Bold, and Beautiful Pvt. Ltd., founded by Miss Universe Nepal 2017 Nagma Shrestha, has announced the launch of the Miss Universe Nepal application.
This will be a first-ever digital pageant in Nepal. As the coronavirus pandemic is still on MUN has decided to go digital this year. From the registration to the final show, everything will be virtual.
All the information was provided through the new program ‘The Nagmatic Show’ which broadcasted live on the Ap1 channel on 8th October.
Miss Universe Nepal is the franchise of Global Miss Universe. It is organized by Brave, Bold, Beautiful Pvt. Ltd. Which is founded by Miss Universe Nepal 2017, Nagma Shrestha. This platform encourages women to be brave, bold, and beautiful. This motivates the women to know and show who you are. MUN has completely transformed the traditional pageants in Nepal. It has focused on encouraging the women to show who they really are and building confidence and boldness in them.

The First Digital Pageant in Nepal
As we all know that the coronavirus pandemic is growing at an alarming rate, this has caught the attention of everyone. So the team of MUN has decided to conduct this pageant virtually this year through their Miss Universe Nepal app which is available in both android and apple.
This will be the first-ever pageant which will be conducted digitally in Nepal. All the things will be digitalized in MUN 2020. Audition, grooming, workshop everything will be conducted virtually. This will be made easy for the participants through the app. Also, Nepalese women residing in foreign lands will also be able to participate.
All-inclusive Beauty Pageant
Miss Universe Nepal is going to break all stereotypes of beauty pageants this year. LGBTQ community will also be able to participate in MUN. This competition has no bars for the women to participate neither biological sex nor shapes/ size. MUN is welcoming trans women this year in this contest.
” Miss Universe Nepal 2020 is open to young women of any height, weight, language, sexuality or sexuality. Until now, beauty pageants were only accessible to affluent people. By changing this, the application fee has been kept at Rs 1,000 ($50 for non-Nepalese) for the purpose of ensuring inclusion of all economic groups.”

They are accepting anyone who identifies themselves as women can apply. They are encouraging women to come forward and be pure and real.
Criteria for Miss Universe Nepal 2020
As said earlier that this year MUN has no criteria. There are no bars like shape, size, height, sex spectrum, and appearance. The Nepalese women all around the world who have great will power and desire to win can apply in this contest.
However, the participants must be between the age group of 18-28.
Major round and Prize of Miss Universe Nepal 2020
The major rounds of Miss Universe Nepal 2020 are more or less similar to previous years. Here is the list of major rounds.
- Swimsuit round
- Evening gown round
- Question answer round
The winner of Miss Universe Nepal 2020 will win a whopping amount of Rs. 10 lakhs.
According to Nagma Shrestha, Miss Universe Nepal 2017, the entire decisive power of this competition has been handed over to the public, i.e. the winner of the competition will be decided on the basis of 100% public votes.
Fee to apply
The first 20 applications received will be free of cost. Afterward, for Nepali citizens, the fee will be Rs. 1000 while for non-Nepali the fee will be $50.
