According to the announcement made on 10th April, Instagram is now letting users to send direct message in desktop platform as well.
In Instagram, desktop users can now see DM icon. DM icon can bee seen at top right of Instagram at your desktop.
Users can even send photos from their desktop, emojis, texts and hearts while using Instagram from desktop.
