Visa Cardholders Can Now Pay via FonePay QR in Nepal
International tourists using Visa cards can now make payments by scanning FonePay QR codes. Visa, in collaboration with FonePay, has launched the ‘Scan to Pay’ feature, enabling seamless digital transactions for foreign visitors in Nepal.
This partnership aims to make cross-border payments in Nepal secure, convenient, and hassle-free for international travelers using Visa cards. With this Scan to Pay feature, tourists can make Visa card payments at over 1.5 million QR-enabled businesses across Nepal, enhancing their shopping experience.
How It Works
If international tourists have a tokenized Visa card linked to their preferred digital wallet, they can simply scan a FonePay QR code in Nepal and complete their payment effortlessly.
