Ripple, Nepal’s OEM has officially launched Nova series of its laptop. Surpassing all the other brands and distributors Ripple has introduced Nepal’s first 12th Gen Intel laptops. Targeting the gaming market ripple launched Nova series with latest intel processors. Ripple Nova series includes two different laptops, Ripple Nova and Ripple Nova pro. On this post we will check out its features and price in Nepal.
Overview of Ripple Nova
Design and Display
The laptop is 19.9mm thick and 1.91kg in weight. It has a numeric keypad and a full-size RGB illuminated keyboard. The laptop’s body is made of aluminum alloy, however the bottom is made of plastic.
A 15.6-inch FHD display with a 16:9 aspect ratio is included on the laptop. It’s an IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a refresh rate of 144Hz. Although the side and top bezels are small, the chin is somewhat large.
Ports
It contains three USB-A ports (2x 3.1 Gen 1, 1x USB 2.0), a USB-C Gen 2 port, an HDMI 2.1 port, an SD card reader slot, two audio connectors (1x audio out, 1x mic in), and an RJ45 port for connectivity.
Processor
It has a 95W total graphics power and is powered by the newest Intel Core i5-12500HCPU and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU (TGP).
RAM and Storage
The CPU features 12 cores and 16 threads, with four P-cores and eight E-cores. There are two SO-DIMM RAM slots and two M.2 SSD slots. The entry-level model has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage.
Battery
A 47Wh battery and a 150W adapter are included with the laptop.
Others
It comes pre-installed with Windows 11 and has an HD webcam and an IR webcam.
Overview of Ripple Nova Pro
Design and Display
The Ripple Nova Pro has a design that is quite similar to the less costly Ripple Nova. Except for the bottom, which is plastic, the laptop is built of aluminum. A 15.6-inch IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of up to 165Hz is included. It has a QHD panel with a 2560 × 1440 pixel resolution.
It also has a 100 percent RGB color spectrum coverage. With tiny side and top bezels, the bezels are identical to those on the Nova.
Ports
The mentioned ports are also identical to those of the Nova. Two USB-A 3.1 Gen 1 ports, a USB-A 2.0 port, a USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 2 port, an HDMI 2.1 port, an SD card reader slot, an audio out port, a mic-in connector, and an RJ45 port are all included.
Processor
The Intel Core i7-12700H CPU powers the Ripple Nova Pro. There are 6 performance cores, 8 efficiency cores, and 20 threads in this processor.
It is equipped with an Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU with a TGP of 140W for graphics operations.
RAM and Storage
The laptop includes two SO-DIMM slots and 8GB of DDR5 4800MHz RAM. It also includes two M.2 slots for SSDs.
Battery
A 63Wh battery powers the laptop, which also comes with a 180W adapter.
Others
Similar to Nova this laptop also comes with pre-installed Windows 11.There are two 2W speakers, an HD webcam, and an IR webcam included.
