Computer eye strain: Here’s How to get relief ?

Today, every individual are engaged in Mobile phone, Computer or say a digital Screen. Even the rate of the children and all categories people are engaged on the mobile phones and computer screen. Many expert on the research have said that it is not good to view digital screen for a long time. It can cause you a eye strain or maybe it will end up with the blindness. The researchers have introduced a new term Digital eye strain which means the eye pain and unclear vision of eye due to the excessive use of Digital Screen.

Recent research by The Vision Council has output the result of 59% people who routinely use computers are supposed to have a computer vision syndrome. There are several symptom. That are mentioned below:

  • Eye Fatigue and Discomfort
  • Dry Eyes
  • Headaches
  • Blurred Vision
  • Neck and Shoulder Pain
  • Eye Twitching and Red Eyes

Obviously, this is the main problem of current world but there are many possible way to minimize such problems one of the first solution is putting Digital screen protection Glass. but this is not enough to take proper care of your eyes so, here Tech Byte is going to mention some of the easy steps which reduce your risk of eye strain and other common symptoms of computer vision syndrome:

Steps:

1. Get a comprehensive eye exam.

The first method is try to give eye exam in the regular basis. If any problem arise then visit the nearest doctor which helps to get the medical solution of your eyes problem. During the exam your primary intention needs to centralize in the distance vision. Mean how long your eyes detect the object easily without have a single trouble. If any problem arises on the distance then be clear that your visibility power is slowly decreasing. Get the help of your Doctor immediately.

2. Use proper lighting.

The root problem of your eye strain is the wrong or improper brightness. It is either the brightness coming from your doors and windows while in the computer time or directly from your computer both are very harmful and main problem of your eye strain. When you use the computer use half of the brightness and turn on the ambient lighting then it will reduce the harmful lights coming from the computers.

Make a suitable interior setup and maintain the lights where you use your computer. If possible then put your computer side of window rather than in-front or behind.

2. Minimize glare and Upgrade Display:

The Glare coming from the finished wall and other surfaces will also be one of the cause of eye strain. The reflection of such surfaces on your computer also be a problem for you. If you use CRT Monitor then It is pro player of reflecting the lights from it’s screen. For the solution, you can paint the wall with the dark type finish up also matte. For more protection you can purchase the Anti- Reflective coating glass which helps to minimize the reflecting lights and can helps you to see more effectively with no effort on eye. The main recommendation to you is that if CRT is in use then change it into LCD or in LED immediately.

Adjust your computer display settings.

Adjusting the display settings of your computer can can also be a key solutions. This is considered as one of the important setting for your eye. Below mentioned adjustment can helps you to solve the problem:

Brightness:

Match the white display to your surrounding looks. You can check up this at opening the browser. Set the brightness to 50-60% if you are on outside then customize it according to your eyes comfort but excessive bight or very low brightness will be serious problem for your eyes.

Text size and contrast:

Tech Bite personally suggest you that always set the text size more than recommendation. Don’t think that it will be boring if the text size will so bigger. It can play a vital role for the problem start and ending of eye strain. If you can’t make the font size bigger than recommendation in every situation then at least make the text size bigger when you are reading a text. Combine perfectly text with background color.

4. Blink more often.

Blink as little as you can. The blinking needs to do less while using the computer. It helps you to prevent the eyes from dryness and other type of irritation. While you more frequently blink your eyes your tears start to evaporate which result as the eye dryness so, blink as little as you can. In most of the offices, we found the dry air which leads our tears easily eveportes then it can be a problem for your eye. If you detect the problem that your tears is evaporated then you can use the artificial tears i.e eye drop to maintain the health of eye. If this treatment is not good for you then you can blink 10 times on the gap of every 20 minute then you feel asleep soon which will help you to re wet your eyes.
