Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4
It’s become a routine that each Raspberry Pi is followed with a system-on-module variant based on the same core silicon. The Compute Module is mainly focused on those who are creating their own PCB. Raspberry Pi Compute Module is a shrunk-down model to fit on a SODIMM with onboard memory, whose connectors can be customized according to the user’s needs.
Raspberry Pi Compute Module Timeline
- In 2014 Raspberry Pi 1 gave rise to the original Compute Module
- In 2017 Raspberry Pi 3 was followed by Compute Module 3
- In 2019 Raspberry Pi 3+ was followed by Compute Module 3+
- The shortest-lived flagship product, Raspberry Pi 2 at just thirteen months, did not get the Compute Module treatment.
- After 16 months Raspberry Pi 4 compute module Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 has launched
