Samsung recently announced the company’s cheapest 5G phone, Samsung galaxy A42 5G. The specifications and features aren’t fully announced yet but there are some details given by the company and by some sources. Let us look at what details have been open to the public and some rumours as well.
Samsung Galaxy A42 5G Overview
Display and design
The phone is said to have a dimension of 164.8 x 76.4 x 8.4 mm with 6.6 inches, Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen. It will have a 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. Likewise, the phone will have Glass back and front according to the sources and will be protected with Gorilla Glass 6. The phone is said to be available in 2 colours: blue and black. The design of the phone seems simple with a square camera set up and a waterdrop selfie camera on the front.
Performance
The phone is powered by Android 10, One UI 2.5 with a chipset of Snapdragon 690 5G and GPU Adreno 691L. The RAM of the phone is rumoured to e somewhere around 4 to 8 GB. These are the only details there is about the performance of the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G.

Camera
Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is said to have Quad camera on the back which includes 48 MP normal camera, 8 MP ultra-wide camera, 5 MP macro lens and 5 MP depth sensor. It will also have an LED flash on the back. Likewise, there will be a 20 MP selfie camera on the front.
Other details about the features of the camera has not been announced yet.

Battery and Connectivity
The phone will have a 5000 mAh battery which will hast more than a day. It is said to come with a fast charger but we don’t know how much watt.
Talking about the connectivity, the phone is said to have Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with with A-GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BDS and 2.0 USB. we are not sure if the phone will have a 3.5 mm head phone jack or not.

Samsung Galaxy A42 5G price and availability in Nepal
The price of the phone has yet not been announced and the rumours have it that the phone will make an official launch in November 2020. However, the sources say that the phone will be the price Euro 369 which is around Rs. 55,000 Nepalese rupee. It will take some time for the phone o to arrive in the Nepali market as it still hasn’t been launched. Maybe around next year, the phone may launch in Nepal.
