Most of us often forgot our mobile banking passwords and we have to rush to the bank to reset the password. Banks also charge us extra money to reset the password.
So, now to remove these hassles, there’s a new rule by Nepal Rastra Bank to make adequate arrangements to reset the password manually.
For that, Nepal Rastra Bank has directed the banks to make such arrangements by amending the Unified Directive on Payment System-2077 BS.
The new revised provision states, “Banks and financial institutions should make adequate arrangements for the security of electronic transactions so that customers can retrieve and resume their mobile, internet, SMS banking usernames and passwords in case of loss.”
Customers can now change their mobile and internet banking passwords themselves if they forget them.
With the implementation of this rule, users will now be able to easily change their mobile and internet banking passwords if they forget their passwords.
