The highly anticipated eighth edition of the ICT Awards, the most prestigious event in the realm of information and communication technology, has commenced its online nomination process. Organized by Living with ICT, this annual event recognizes outstanding achievements and innovations within the industry. Nominations are now open in 13 diverse categories, including the recently introduced Professional Excellence ICT Award and the esteemed South Asia Startup ICT Awards.

The ICT Awards, which began in 2016, has evolved into a highly refined and expanded platform to honor the brightest minds and organizations driving the ICT sector forward. This year’s edition also features the Provincial Startup ICT Recognition, an initiative designed to commend the most promising startups from all seven provinces. Additionally, categories such as Startup ICT Award, Product ICT Award, Rising Star and Innovation ICT Award 2023, Pioneer ICT Award, Entrepreneurs ICT Award, Woman Icon ICT Award, and Nepali Diaspora ICT Award 2023 recognize individual contributions to the industry.
Institutional categories include Digital Education ICT Award (Public Sector), Digital Education ICT Award (Private Sector), Digital Governance ICT Award, and Digital Services ICT Award 2023. Online nominations can be registered through the official ICT Awards website, with a deadline of August 16, 2023.
The selection process for the ICT Awards is known for its thoroughness and commitment to fairness and transparency. A 14-member jury committee, consisting of experts from the government of Nepal, will undertake the evaluation process. Additionally, a 15-member advisory committee will provide valuable insights and guidance throughout the awards program. The jury committee will conduct meetings and presentation sessions at 25 different stages, with the final award recipients being announced in the month of Bhadra.
To engage audiences and showcase the top contenders in various categories, a television show will feature the top ten participants in the startup, product, rising star innovation, and professional excellence categories. Furthermore, organizers will embark on a journey across all seven provinces, scouting for local startups and conducting boot camps and mentoring sessions for the top five startups and ideas from each province. A pre-event Startup and Idea Fest will also take place in all seven provinces, culminating in the main event held in Kathmandu.
The winners of the ICT Awards will not only receive accolades but also gain access to various services and benefits from national and international companies.
