In the fast-paced world of digital privacy, keeping your tools updated is essential. AdGuard VPN has recently released its latest version, 2.17, for both iOS and Android platforms. This update is designed to make the user experience more efficient, focusing on speed, accessibility, and smarter shopping. Whether you are a long-time subscriber or new to the service, these enhancements aim to streamline how you protect your online presence.
Siri Integration and Shortcuts for iOS Users
One of the most significant changes in the 2.17 update is tailored specifically for Apple enthusiasts. AdGuard VPN has introduced native support for Siri and the Shortcuts app. This integration allows users to toggle their VPN connection on or off using nothing but their voice. By setting up custom voice commands, you can instantly secure your connection without ever having to open the app manually.
Beyond voice control, the Shortcuts integration is a game-changer for automation. You can now create complex workflows that trigger the VPN based on your location, time of day, or when specific apps are launched. This level of automation ensures that your privacy is protected exactly when you need it, without requiring constant manual intervention. It is a massive step forward in making digital security feel like a seamless part of your daily routine rather than a chore.
In-App Discount Alerts for Android
While iOS users get the benefit of Siri, Android users are not left behind. The 2.17 update introduces a handy in-app notification system specifically designed for discount alerts. Many users often miss out on seasonal promotions or renewal deals because they do not regularly check their emails or the company’s website. With this new feature, AdGuard VPN will proactively inform you about available discounts directly within the application interface.
This feature is particularly useful for budget-conscious users who want to extend their subscription or upgrade their plan at the lowest possible price. By bringing these alerts into the app, AdGuard makes it easier for you to stay informed and save money. It ensures that you never miss a chance to secure your privacy at a bargain, keeping both your data and your wallet safe.
Enhanced Performance and Stability
Beyond the headline features, version 2.17 includes a series of under-the-hood optimizations. Performance and stability have been the core focus for the development team, ensuring that the connection process is faster and more reliable than ever before. In a world where every millisecond counts, having a VPN that connects almost instantly is a major advantage.
These technical improvements also address minor bugs reported by the community in previous builds. By refining the codebase, the developers have ensured that the app consumes fewer system resources, which is crucial for battery life on mobile devices. A faster, more efficient VPN means you can stay protected on public Wi-Fi networks without worrying about significant battery drain or sluggish internet speeds.
Conclusion
The AdGuard VPN 2.17 update is a clear indicator of the company’s commitment to user-centric design. By adding Siri support and Shortcuts for iOS, and smart discount alerts for Android, they have successfully made privacy tools more accessible and convenient. These updates do not just add new features; they fundamentally improve how you interact with your security software every day. If you have not updated your app yet, it is highly recommended to head over to the App Store or Google Play Store to enjoy these new enhancements immediately.
