Tribhuwan University’s Examination Control Office, Balkhu, has officially launched an online service for students to apply for transcripts and provisional certificates starting Baisakh 2, from 11:00 AM.
According to Controller of Examinations Pushparaj Joshi, this online initiative was developed to reduce the need for students to physically visit the Examination Control Office. While the office had already introduced online services last year, this marks the official launch of online applications specifically for transcripts and provisional certificates.
Why the Delay in Continuity?
Although some online services had been previously introduced, a temporary halt occurred after a cyberattack by a student who hacked the website. Since then, technical issues had prevented the office from consistently continuing the service. However, the office has now reactivated and committed to moving forward with online service delivery.
A press release issued by the office mentioned:
“Despite previous technical difficulties, Tribhuvan University is dedicated to continuing the online service system. Starting Jestha 15, 2082, all services provided by the Examination Control Office, Balkhu, will be fully available online.”
How to Apply Online?
Here’s a step-by-step guide:
- Log in to the Student Portal at student.tuexam.edu.np.
- Fill out the form as per the instructions.
- Ensure the details on your registration card and marksheets match. If there are discrepancies, use the ‘Correction Option’ to update and submit.
- Pay the required fee via the designated bank online and submit the form.
⚠️ Note: If your old yellow marksheets (distributed before the online version) have different details compared to the digital records, you must submit your Application ID slip and the original yellow marksheet to the designated confidential branch.
Once the online form is submitted, students will be informed about the collection process for their transcripts. For further assistance, the office recommends referring to the Student Portal Manual available on the website.
Tribhuvan University’s step toward digitization is a significant move to streamline administrative services and enhance accessibility for students across the country.
