The ASCOL Hackfest 2024 successfully concluded at Amrit Science Campus (ASCOL), Kathmandu. The event, which began on Asoj 1st and 2nd, saw a rigorous selection process involving 203 contestants from 63 teams representing various parts of Nepal.
The final 48-hour hackathon took place from October 6th to 8th at SR Banquet, Dhumbarahi, where teams competed intensely. Pulchowk Campus’s team, Breaking Bugs, secured first place, followed by Pariwartan from Patan Campus in second, and Team Synergy from Ambikeswari Campus, Dang, in third place.
The winners were awarded cash prizes, certificates, and gifts. The first-place team received Rs. 50,000 along with a placement offer, while the second and third-place teams were given Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 15,000, respectively.
The event, organized by ASCOL IT Club and Free Students Union ASCOL, was presided over by club president Dinesh Adhikari. The chief guest, Prof. Dr. Binil Aryal, Dean of the Institute of Science and Technology at Tribhuvan University, graced the occasion, while club secretary Sadhana Sigdel conducted the event.
