Nokia has recently announced its first 5G phone in the form of a Nokia 8.3 5G. This is the latest offering from Nokia to get back on the smartphone market and take its place where it once was one of the best. Nokia has also brought an attractive offer to customers that if they pre-order the Nokia 8.3 5G smartphone, they will get 100 GB of free space in Google One.
In addition, customers will also receive the new Nokia Power Earbuds Lite if you pre-book the phone. Also, the 100 GB of free storage on Google One is valid for 6 months only. After that, the online storage will not be free.
Nokia 8.3 5G Overview
Design and Display
The Nokia 8.3 5G comes with a 6.81-inch FHD+ PureDisplay with a hole-punch cut out for the front-facing camera. The screen resolution is 1080×2400 pixels with 386 PPI density. The back of the phone houses the rear camera in a circular camera bump. The bezel on the chin of the phone is bigger than other edges as it has a Nokia branding on the chin. Honestly, the display would have looked better with smaller bezels on the chin.
Also, the power button of the phone also has a fingerprint sensor combined with it for fingerprint unlock feature. It also has a 3.5 mm headphone jack for people that misses the headphone jack in the latest offerings from other smartphone makers.

Camera
The camera of the Nokia 8.3 5G includes a quad-camera setup at the back and a single front-facing camera. The PureView quad-camera with ZEISS optics setup at the back consists of a 64 MP f/1.9 primary camera, a 12 MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, 2 MP macro, and 2 MP depth camera. The front-facing camera is a 24 MP f/2.0 camera.
The rear camera can record videos of up to 4k @30fps whereas the front camera can record only up to 1080p @30fps.
Hardware and Software
On the software front, the Nokia 8.3 5G will run on Android 10 (Android One) OS and has 2 years of guaranteed software upgrades and 3 years of a monthly security update. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G (7 nm) which is not the latest and the greatest processor, however, it is still an excellent mid-range processor that can handle most of your tasks perfectly fine. It also has an Adreno 620 GPU.
As the name suggests, this smartphone supports 5G connectivity and supports a wide range of 5G bands than any other 5G smartphone currently in the market. Nokia 8.3 5G supports 5G bands starting from as low as 600Mhz to up to 3.8Ghz.
It comes with 6 GB RAM/64 GB Storage option or 8 GB RAM/128 GB Storage option. You can expand the storage by up to 512 GB using a MicroSD card.

Battery
The battery of Nokia 8.3 5G is 4500 mAh with a 18W (9V/2A) fast charging support. Nokia has claimed a battery life of 2 days on a single charge, but its real world performance needs to be seen to compare the claim.

Nokia 8.3 5G Price in Nepal and Availability
The price of Nokia 8.3 5G is €579 for the 6/64GB and €649 for the 8/128GB variant and is currently only available for pre-order from jbhifi and Amazon. The price of the Nokia 8.3 5G in Nepal is expected to be around NPR 78,000 for the 6 GB RAM 64 GB storage variant and around NPR 84,000 for the 8 GB RAM 128 GB storage variant.
