Foodathon successfully completed and got its Winner “TajaAgroFarms”

Foodathon was successfully completed yesterday i.e 14th June with more than 80 plus participants virtually in the videoconferencing application Zoom.

Foodathon#hackthehunger was two days event organized with an aim to harness promising entrepreneurs in bringing sustainable innovative solutions to challenges around sustainable food system, production and supply.

This is the first complete virtually organized hackathon in Nepal. They hosted 13 parallel virtual sessions and 39 total sessions within four hours of the final event. Huge shoutout to the whole organizing team.

More than 30 mentors helped the participants to broaden their ideas by giving multi-dimensional views.

Similarly, 8 Jury members and speakers were there to finalize the ideas and announce the winner in the Grand Finale event.

The top 13 finalist team delivered their final pitch about innovations they are trying to bring to ensure food security, supply, and food production in the event.

Finally, the jury members from the diverse areas decided the” TITLE winner “as well as the “Theme winners” after hearing all the ideas.

Team “TajaAgroFarms” with members- Padam Raj Awasthi and Ujjwal Shrestha won the title “2020 winner of the Foodathon“.

Similarly, Hariyo Kaushi, Youth Farmer, Prithak, and Skillathon became the theme winners of the Foodathon.

The winner was awarded 50,000 cash prizes and certificates of appreciation. Whereas, the theme winners got certificates and 6-month mentorship from the mentoring partners.
